From the start is mandatory to light a few facts regarding Dubai. Besides being mostly a desert-fishing village 20 years ago, today it became a global business hub and a luxury tourist destination.
From Islamic culture to traditions, heritage, and country history, Dubai has many stories to tell.
The modern, safe, and clean environment makes this city one of the top travel destinations for solo, couples, families, and friends alike.
Now, regarding the number of days you need for your trip to Dubai, I can definitely say that 7 days can cover the most important landmarks.
However, depending on your availability you can visit part of this city and the region nearby in maybe 2 days as well as in 2 weeks. Dubai has definitely a lot to offer so it’s up to you how long your trip can be.
All in all, this guide will give first-time visitors and not only, a great overview of what this incredible city has to offer.
When you look at this itinerary, it looks overwhelming with the number of attractions to visit each day. Please don’t force yourself to do everything. Instead, I encourage you to tailor your itinerary based on your interest and how you’re feeling. Now, let’s enjoy this vibrant city!
First Day
Dubai Marina and JBR
Dubai Marina is one of the most amazing spots you must visit in Dubai but also a great location to book your accommodation.
Amazing views, many restaurants, tourist attractions, and the sea at JBR’s open beach, all in just a few steps.
The famous Jumeirah Beach Residence is an open beach where you will definitely feel comfortable in your swimming suit.
There are many other beaches however this, in my opinion, is the best one mainly due to the cultural differences.
Ain Dubai is the world’s largest and tallest observation wheel with a 360° view. Definitely is a must-visit sight in Dubai.
And if you don’t want to walk, the easiest way to get to see all these landmarks is by taking the famous Hop-On Hop-Off Bus.
Second Day
The Palm and Zero Gravity
About The Palm Dubai, there are many things to say besides still being the largest man-made island. This famous palm-tree shape island is home to famous five starts hotels, resorts, restaurants, residential buildings, and many fun activities
Atlantis The Palm is definitely one of the luxury hotels in Dubai. Is so well located that gives you a great view from each side. In addition to an immaculate beach and many pools, you will find Aquaventure Waterpark, The Lost Chamber Aquarium, and Dolphin Bay
Zero Gravity is the perfect location for a Beach Brunch with a lot of fun, food, drinks, and club music.
Third Day
Dubai Mall and Downtown
You must walk in Downtown Dubai. Besides the fabulous lights, you will find many Arabic restaurants and great shisha places.
Dubai Mall is one of this city’s icons you should visit and here is the perfect place for a shopping session, “Shop ’til you drop”. The largest mall in the world offers over 1200 retail stores beside many other tourist attractions.
The Aquarium is located in Dubai Mall and you have the option to walk by, admire and take some pictures or you can visit the Underwater Zoo
For an exquisite dinner, you must book a table at The At.mosphere Grill & Lounge Restaurant. This exclusive fine dining restaurant is located on Level 122 of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building and the view is spectacular.
And if you only want to enjoy the view, you can take a ride to Burj Khalifa At the Top, at 125 floors.
Definitely not the Swiss Alps, but a great experience especially thanks to the temperature difference, so try to go to the Mall of the Emirates to visit de Sky Dubai.
Souq al Bahar, this traditional piece of the Arabic world is located in downtown Dubai just next to the famous Dubai fountains. You will notice the building as soon you find yourself outside the Dubai Mall.
Fourth Day
Burj al Arab and Cruise
Many beautiful things to do in Dubai, however, you should not miss breakfast in the world’s only seven stars hotel, Burj Al Arab, Dubai’s most iconic hotel and a global icon of Arabian luxury.
One of the greatest experiences here is the boat tour. You can rent a yacht and explore the Persic Golf.
Most of them offer lunch as part of the tour package, and if not, you can bring it. By the way, in case you are wondering, drinks are allowed.
If you feel that is time to have a night-out fun, certainly you should consider Armani/Prive Club located in Burj Khalifa.
Rhythm and style in an elegant and refined location with an impeccable atmosphere.
Fifth Day
Safari and Miracle Garden
The best safari I’ve experienced was definitely in Dubai. Now, as you already imagine, there are endless options and packages.
Day safari, afternoon safari, overnight safari, luxury safari, or eco-luxury safari with dinner and music, wrangler jeep, quad bike, or camel ride are a few of the options you can choose from.
Located in the heart of the desert, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa is one of the most exclusive places for an ultimate luxury retreat.
For flower lovers and not only, Miracle Garder, the world’s largest natural flower garden, provides a relaxing retreat into nature. Due to the extremely hot weather, the garden is only open every year from November to May.
Pier 7 is a unique culinary destination with a 360° view over Dubai Marina and I definitely suggest you try at least one of the cuisines here. Each floor of this 7-floor building has a different lifestyle dining restaurant, whether you choose Spanish, Asian, or maybe Mediterranean.
Sixth Day
Wild Wadi Waterpark and Madinat Jumeirah
The Wild Wadi Waterpark is located in Jumeirah next to Burj Al Arab and offers over 30 rides and attractions for all ages. Perfect for a day out!
If you want to see Dubai from above and enjoy some adrenaline at the same time, book a private helicopter tour. Great way to see the city’s iconic buildings and the shape of Palm Island.
Jumeirah Al Qasr, in my opinion, offers the best Arabic night with the greatest traditional dinner. Inspired by the summer residences of the sheiks, the Jumeirah Al Qasr sits above the waterways of Madinat Jumeirah.
This traditional mini-city and one of Dubai’s most attractive developments is a contemporary interpretation of an authentic Arab village.
From the outside, you can see the Arabic architecture and from the moment you step in, you will notice the Arabic decoration and accessories.
Seventh Day
Atlantis and Dinner in the Sky
The Atlantis Adventure Waterpark is perfect for another day outside enjoying the weather in Dubai. With lots of fun activities, this is the perfect place to experience the most thrilling record-breaking water rides.
Amazing experience on Leap of Faith, the shark slide, but honestly, in my opinion, there is no possible way to see anything, due to the speed you are sliding through the tunnel. Still an amazing experience!
Dinner In The Sky is one of the most unique experiences you can have and is definitely that one-in-a-lifetime thing to do.
Do keep in mind that booking in advance is a must and the weather must be checked as well. Fog and wind are not something you want when dining 50 meters above the streets.
